“La Collina e la Luna” – talking about archaeology and protection of our heritage

Between scientists documentaries and big hollywood productions, is it possible to talk in a different way about archaeology and protection of our heritage ? This is the point of departure of La collina e la Luna, a unique movie, shot in Switzerland and in other countries like Italy, France, Ireland, Scotland and Iceland, using different techniques like digital videos, Super-8 and 2D’s animations.
Synopsis: The childhood dreams of a young girl to become an archaeologist, find its higher value in one of the bigger archaeological discoveries that Switzerland has never seen : The Mormont, an Elvetian sanctuary, considered as one of the most important celtic religious sites from the end of the Iron Age ever discovered. The passion of her job will be quickly confronted with the reality of a profession wich has difficulty in finding a place in our society. Searching for answers, the young archaeologist will decide to do a trip, between reality and imaginary, that will bring her from a metropolitan city as Milan, to the distant landscapes of Iceland… In Creations of Nomadi del Tempo
